Data Hub

The January 2026 release introduces focused usability and workflow enhancements to Boomi Data Hub, laying the groundwork for a major strategic initiative to bridge the gap between technical data and business context.

Core Enhancements: Modernization and Control

We’ve modernized the Data Hub experience with a refreshed Repositories page, delivering a cleaner look and feel for data stewards. Additionally, we have refined the Source Agreements API to give developers granular control when clearing agreements (now supporting specific fields and sources), alongside reliability updates to source trust calculations and repository configurations.

Introducing Meta Hub (Limited Early Access)

We are also excited to announce the Early Access (Phase 1) launch of Meta Hub, a strategic initiative that embeds business context directly into your integration workflows.

As AI agents and automated workflows become more prevalent, the need for trusted, standardized data definitions is critical. The first capability Meta Hub delivers is a centralized Business Glossary service. This foundational layer enables you to map cryptic technical metadata to clear business meanings, aligning business and technical teams while powering trusted, AI-ready data knowledge bases.

  • Standardize Definitions: Centralize the management of business terms to eliminate ambiguity across the enterprise.
  • Bridge the Context Gap: Accelerate discovery and stewardship by linking technical assets to their business context.
  • Power AI-Ready Data: Provide the trusted context required for effective AI agents and automation.

Note: Meta Hub is currently in Limited Early Access (by Private Invitation). If you have complex multi-system syncs or active AI initiatives, this is your opportunity to gain a competitive advantage and influence the roadmap.

Data Integration

  • Database Replication, Made Simple: Database replication just got easier, more resilient, and ready to scale. In this release, we’ve strengthened the reliability of DB and CDC, particularly for MySQL and Oracle, with enhanced validations, increased visibility, and improved CDC metrics and alerts. Long-running replication jobs are now safer thanks to recovery checkpoints, which enable processes to resume from critical transactional states without restarting.
  • We’re also introducing a new API and a modern UI, purpose-built for database replication, making it easier to manage pipelines at scale with bulk operations and advanced search capabilities. Together, these updates enable seamless replication from any database source to any data target, supporting both Standard and CDC workflows with greater confidence and simplicity.
  • SAP CDC Connector (Based on Boomi for SAP): Boomi for SAP now includes Change Data Capture (CDC), enabling continuous, incremental ingestion of SAP data by capturing only inserts, updates, and deletes as they occur. This enables customers to keep cloud warehouses and lakes in sync with their SAP data in near real-time, reducing load, improving freshness, and supporting scalable analytics and AI use cases.
  • Data Connector Agent, Evolved: The Data Connector Agent is now faster, more usable, and easier to implement, with improved performance and deeper integration with AWS Bedrock. This release enhances flexibility by supporting POST and PUT operations, CSV input, and lists of dictionaries, enabling more dynamic data interactions. We’ve also introduced YAML-based configuration for data type transformations and enrichments, making complex mappings simpler, clearer, and easier to maintain.
  • Salesforce Connector: We released a new Salesforce connector as GA that delivers a robust, secure data source built on the latest Salesforce API, supporting both Production and Sandbox environments with OAuth 2.0 authentication. It combines Bulk API v2.0 for high-volume data extraction with the latest SOAP API for complex processing and efficient SOQL-based queries, giving teams flexibility at scale.
  • BDU Spend Notifications: User-customizable alerts that notify teams when consumption thresholds are reached, helping improve cost visibility and prevent unexpected overages.
  • Auto-Suspend Failed Data Flows: Automatically pauses failing data flows to prevent repeated errors, protect downstream systems, and speed up issue resolution.

Integration

This release introduces a quality-of-life enhancement designed to boost process efficiency and simplify troubleshooting. We’ve added the ability to automatically halt a process if a step produces no documents, preventing the execution from continuing into unnecessary timeouts, unexpected exceptions, or excessive logging.

Key Features:

  • Process Efficiency: A new process option, “Stop if no documents,” is now available. When enabled, the process will automatically halt execution whenever a step generates zero documents, preventing subsequent shapes from running without the required data.
  • Simplified Troubleshooting: When a process halts due to this setting, the execution logs will display a clear status message: “No documents found. Skipping execution for the step.” This provides immediate clarity on why the process path stopped.

Rollout Details:

  • New Processes: This option is enabled by default for all processes created after the January release, but it can be disabled as needed.
  • Existing Processes: To ensure backward compatibility, this feature remains disabled for existing processes. It can be enabled at any time through the Process Options or by accepting the suggested change in the Start Step side panel.

Integration Runtime

This release introduces two new features to simplify and automate the monitoring and management of your integration runtimes.

  • Observability UI – We’re introducing a new, intuitive user interface within Runtime Management to configure integration runtime observability settings. This includes endpoint configuration and filtering. Learn more about enabling observability.

  • Runtime Configuration APIs: You can now automate the configuration of your runtimes as part of provisioning and change management with new APIs for Runtime Properties. The Runtime Properties API enables you to get and update runtime and system (Java) basic, advanced, and custom properties. You can also use them to compare runtime configuration across environments to ensure consistency. Learn more about using the APIs or check out the API Reference.

Boomi for SAP

Boomi for SAP version 2.0 release focuses on enhancing data usability and streamlining developer workflows, offering deeper customization for table services and more granular control over data filtering and integration.

  • Service Overview API Endpoints: The Table Service overview now includes relevant API endpoint URLs directly within the service tables. This enhancement improves discoverability for developers and streamlines integration by enabling users to quickly identify and copy exact connection paths to external applications.
  • Advanced Table Service Filtering via Where Conditions: The Table Service feature is enhanced with design-time filters, allowing you to pre-filter data based on specific criteria before it is displayed.
  • Optimized Field Selection Sorting: The Table Service field selection pop-up now automatically moves selected fields to the top of the list. This prioritized sorting logic enables a faster review of active configurations and provides a more efficient way to manage complex datasets with numerous fields.
  • CDS View Support With Mandatory Parameters: The Table Service feature is enhanced to handle CDS views with Parameters similar to SE16N. When tables have a CDS view with Parameters, the view data pop-up offers a new option to enter parameters to display the view’s data.

Event Streams

This month’s release introduces significant improvements to the admin experience, focusing on UI navigation efficiency and providing more direct access to environment-specific metadata.

  • Enhanced Environments Management With Search and Navigation: The Environments page now features integrated search, pagination, and copy functionality, enabling users to easily find and manage environment details across multiple regions. We have introduced a case-insensitive search input with a dedicated clear/reset option, alongside pagination that includes page-size selection for more fluid navigation. Additionally, users can now copy environment IDs.

Managed File Transfer

Following its acquisition of Thru in August, Boomi launched Boomi MFT, enabling secure, automated exchange of sensitive file-based data across organizations while meeting compliance and governance requirements.

This release introduces a modernized MFT Runtime architecture with a versioned directory structure that installs MFT runtime versions side by side. Each runtime version runs from its own isolated directory, reducing upgrade risk and enabling rollback capabilities.

This architectural foundation prepares the platform for future customer-controlled update mechanisms and more secure runtime lifecycle management.

Rollout Details:

  • Linux runtimes update automatically.
  • Windows runtimes require a one-time manual update to move into the new side-by-side versioned structure.

Once completed, all MFT runtimes will be aligned with this new architecture and ready for future enhancements.

Flow

This release introduces Environment Variable support for User groups.

  • Customers can now use environment variables for users and groups in Flow Properties Identity Provider settings via a new globe icon, enabling them to configure different user groups per environment (Dev, Test, Prod) without manual intervention. This feature simplifies management and ensures consistency across environments.
