Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from Keio University Graduate School of Engineering in 1984 and joined Sony. Completed his master’s degree in electrical engineering at the California Institute of Technology in 1988. After serving as a business leader and company president for VAIO, digital TVs, home videos, and personal audio, he left Sony in March 2006. In the following year, he joined Google and served as the President and CEO of Google Japan. In April 2010, he left Google and founded Alex Corporation. He currently serves as the President and CEO of the company.
From June 2011 to March 2016, he was an external director at KLab Inc., from June 2012 to July 2016, an external director at AOI Pro. Inc., from April 2012 to March 2017, a visiting professor at Waseda University Graduate School of Commerce, from October 2013 to August 2016, a member of the Regulatory Reform Subcommittee of the Cabinet Office’s Strategic Headquarters for the Promotion of a “Digital Network Society,” from June 2016 to September 2018, an advisory member of the Kanagawa ME-BYO Summit Executive Committee, and from August 2017 to August 2021, an external director at Weathernews Inc. Since June 2022, he has been an external director at SMBC Nikko Securities. Since July 2023, he has been an advisor to Kitakyushu City.

Additionally, he has contributed numerous articles to various publications, including Nikkan Gendai (Kodansha Group), Weekly Bunshun (Bungeishunju), Gendai Business (Kodansha), Keizai Premier (Mainichi Shimbun), and Forsight (Shinchosha). Since April 2023, he has been distributing a newsletter titled “Inside the Mind of Koichiro Tsujino, Former President of Google Japan – Developing the Ability to Understand the Essence of the Times” via Magmag. He received the Grand Prize at the Magmag Awards 2024 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

As a former President of iCIMS, Valerie has over 25 years of experience in SaaS and enterprise technology, bringing extensive operational expertise in strategy, corporate development, partner ecosystems, and M&A. In her role at iCIMS, she led strategic growth initiatives that significantly advanced the company’s market position.

Valerie has held multiple leadership roles in technology, including serving as CFO for Upserve and other firms, where she focused on operational excellence and financial performance. As an Operating Partner at K1 Investment Management, she advised portfolio companies on corporate strategy, go-to-market and product strategies, topline growth, TAM expansion, M&A, and positioning for successful exits.

Valerie currently sits on the boards of Envoy Global and Susan G. Komen, where she contributes her extensive industry knowledge. She holds a BS and MBA from Fordham University and completed the M&A Executive Program at The Wharton School.

Matt McLarty is the Chief Technology Officer for Boomi. He helps organizations around the world thrive in the digital age. He is an active member of the worldwide API community, has led global technical teams at Salesforce, IBM and CA Technologies, and started his career in financial technology. Matt is an internationally known expert on APIs, microservices, and integration. He has co-authored books for O’Reilly, co-hosts the API Experience podcast, and is co-author of the book Unbundling the Enterprise from IT Revolution. He lives with his wife and two sons in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Eitaro Kono worked at Dentsu, Accenture, and IBM Japan. Held various roles including consulting services, human resources, executive assistant, etc. Led human resources system reforms, communication reforms, talent development, organizational behavior reforms, and the Japanese expansion of software for multiple companies, primarily large corporate groups.

In 2017 founded Eight Arrows Inc. Joined Aidemy Inc. in 2019 as COO, lead the company to list on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in June 2023. Currently serves as Executive Advisor. In September 2023, founded Tokyo Consulting & Intelligence.

In November 2024, he was appointed President and CEO of Boomi K.K., established through strategic investments from Boomi LP and SunBridge Partners. He is driving the expansion of Boomi’s business in Japan and supporting the growth of Japanese companies through Boomi’s high-performance AI-powered integration platform, “Boomi Enterprise Platform.”

Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo, and served as captain of the swimming team. Completed an MBA at Globis.
