Yes. Point it at any existing component by ID or URL, and Boomi Companion pulls it in with its dependencies so you can modify, extend, or analyze it. When a deployed process fails, it queries execution records, downloads the logs, finds the error, proposes a fix, and redeploys once you approve.
For agents, Boomi Companion tests by talking to them. It runs test conversations to confirm an agent picks the right tool for a request, stays inside its guardrails, and returns the expected result. Every agent already screens for profanity, prompt injection, and harmful content, so the tests focus on your own policies. Boomi Companion then tightens a guardrail or adjusts a tool based on what it finds, and every change shows up in the Agentstudio console for review. They serve different people in different places. Companion is for developers and practitioners who work in terminals, IDEs, or knowledge workers who use AI tools, and it lives outside the platform as installable skills. Orchestrate is a curated experience inside the Boomi Enterprise Platform where business users collaborate with technical users. They coexist, and both build on the same platform.
Boomi Companion is free with any Boomi platform license, and it’s open source under BSD-2-Clause. There’s no separate SKU. Your costs are your AI agent usage and your Boomi platform consumption, with no surcharge for the Platform API Companion uses.
You need an AI coding agent, an IDE or terminal, and a Boomi Platform account (username, API token, and account ID). In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add OfficialBoomi/boomi-companion, open /plugin to install a plugin such as bc-integration, then run /reload-plugins. Claude Cowork uses the same marketplace. For other tools, install the standalone skills from GitHub, for example gh skill install OfficialBoomi/boomi-integration for GitHub Copilot.
