Boomi commissioned Forrester Consulting to survey 409 IT decision-makers across North America, Europe, and APAC on what it takes to successfully deploy and scale agentic AI. The findings reveal a critical divide: while 86% of organizations have moved beyond AI agent pilots, just 34% trust the actions their agents are taking — and 77% of those without the right operational foundation are deploying anyway, risking an average of $2.1 million in added costs.
Study highlights include:
- 77% of organizations in agentic chaos are moving to full agent deployment despite insufficient readiness
- 45% of agentic control leaders gate AI pilot decisions on having well-managed APIs, vs. just 15% of their peers
- Organizations with agentic control are seeing 59% productivity gains and 51% increased innovation from their agentic AI deployments
