Let’s take a look at the highlights in this release.

Boomi AI

The July release includes six Boomi AI agents and the AI Agent Garden, available for all existing and new account users on the Boomi Enterprise Platform. There is no requirement for an additional license to access these new agents.

AI Agent Garden: The new AI Agent Garden gives you a high-level view of all AI agents available to meet your integration and automation needs. To access the AI Agent Garden, click the AI icon on the platform’s home screen and select the AI Agent Garden link.

AI Agents in the July release:

  • Boomi AI Agents: Pre-installed for all accounts to boost productivity, automate tasks, and streamline business outcomes. These agents include:
    • Boomi GPT – Describe integration and automation needs using natural language and have conversations with the Boomi Enterprise Platform to get more meaningful results, faster.
    • Boomi DesignGen – Ask GenAI to design integration processes based on 300M+ common patterns and best practices.
    • Boomi Answers – Save time spent searching through user community discussions and articles. Simply ask questions about Boomi and get the most useful answer from over 240K community users.
    • Boomi Scribe – Skip manually writing documentation about existing and AI-generated integration processes, and let GenAI handle the busywork of detailing process descriptions and business use cases.
    • Boomi DataDetective (Early Access) – Stay on top of data privacy, protect sensitive information with AI-powered data classification, and track where data is being moved.
    • Boomi Pathfinder – Provide patented suggestions on the next best steps to take when building integration processes.
  • Boomi Partner Agents: Pluggable components from Boomi’s partner network that offer AI-powered capabilities to elevate your integration and automation efforts.
  • User Agents: Boomi Agents developed by the Boomi Community.

The Boomi DesignGen agent has been enhanced to offer users creating integrations with AI the ability to choose between reusing existing connection components or creating new ones. We also enhanced the Boomi Scribe agent by adding connector step descriptions and URLs to subprocesses and maps within process documentation.

Integration

In May, we introduced a modernized canvas experience as the default for all users. In the July release, we are deprecating the legacy canvas and transitioning all existing users from the legacy experience to the new modern canvas. This means the legacy canvas will no longer be available. For more information, please refer to this community article.

Please note that there will be a forthcoming change to the event object API in the next platform release. This change may impact you if you utilize the processID information returned by the API. For more information, please refer to this community article.

Connectivity

In connectivity news, the Veeva connector is now Generally Available! This connector enables healthcare and life sciences organizations to seamlessly interact with their data in Veeva Vault and CRM applications. In this release, we’ve also enhanced the connector to support loading and exporting multiple files simultaneously to your vault. Check out this recipe to get started with the Veeva connector.

Additionally, we have made updates to the following connectors:

  • Boomi for SAP connector: A new Listen operation has been added to support subscriptions to WebSocket EDA. It supports JSON and XML profiles.
  • MongoDB Connector: Now supports integrations with the Azure CosmosDB MongoDB variant.
  • SAP HANA DB Connector: Now supports the latest driver version 2.19.16, compatible with SPS 06 Revision 67, and also supports decimal data types in all operations.

API Management

In July, we introduced the ability to configure Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) for APIs deployed on the gateway. The CORS settings configured at the gateway apply to all APIs in the gateway and can be overridden for a specific API using the Manage API page.

CORS settings at Gateway level:

CORS settings at API level:

We continue to enhance the API Policy Manager. These additional policies go into effect this month:

  • Circuit Breaker Policy: Switch or make the call fail with a 503 Service Unavailable in case of errors or latency. Errors and latency threshold rate can be configured to open the circuit breaker.
  • Resource Filtering Policy: Restrict or allow access to a specific resource determined by a path and a method (or an array of methods).
  • Override HTTP Method Policy: Override the HTTP method provided by the initial consumer with a new configured value when the inbound request is sent to the backend API.
  • XML to JSON Policy: Transform XML content to JSON content.

Master Data Hub

Early Delta Detection

We are pleased to introduce Early Delta Detection functionality. This capability improves throughput seamlessly by prioritizing data requests with actual changes. This is especially helpful for high volume data loads where detecting or polling for field-level changes is difficult or not available at the Integration layer. This setting can be enabled by selecting Enable early delta detection on the inbound source configuration.

Event Streams

Message Management settings now allow you to select and delete multiple messages simultaneously. This update also introduces a Clear button for clearing Backlog and Dead Letter Backlog messages.

Flow

We have new updates to Flow in this release:

Flow History: With Flow History, you can now effortlessly track and compare previous versions of a flow. This includes viewing comprehensive release and environment details for each version, along with any modifications made. This feature ensures you have complete visibility into, and control over, your workflows.

Coming soon:

Dashboard Improvements: Our Flow dashboard is getting a makeover! Expect enhanced features that will provide clearer insights into usage, detect anomalies, and identify errors. These updates will help you optimize performance and troubleshoot effectively.

Open API Connector Enhancements: These updates will empower Flow users to seamlessly connect to RESTful APIs and manage extensive data sets with ease.

Publishing and Partners

Recipe Submissions

This month, we are excited to announce the release of our new Recipe Submissions page within the platform. Recipes are pre-defined integration templates designed to simplify the process of creating integration solutions on the Boomi platform. This new Recipe Submissions page, appearing within the Labs menu, will allow members of our Technology Partner Program to easily submit the recipes they create for review and publishing on Boomi Discover.

This new recipe submission experience guides partners through the steps for publishing in a simple and effective wizard. Once recipes are submitted for review, partners will be notified via email, as well as on this page, when their recipe is returned with comments on the updates needed. When the recipe has been fully approved, partners will be notified that their recipe was published and will be able to see it live on Boomi Discover.

We are excited to continue investing in our partner experience to make it easier and more fun to build and publish with Boomi. If you are interested in publishing on Boomi Discover, please sign up for the Technology Partner Program and find out more here.
