Business goals

Norths Collective, a member-owned group of eight hospitality venues and two fitness centers channels profits back to its members and the community. The organization prioritizes delivering value to its 61,000 members through digital services.

Norths Collective decided to implement an advances business analytics practice to improve business decision-making and enhance customer experience. The plan was to connect its siloed systems and centralize operational and member data.

Integration Challenges

The organization’s IT environment was complicated by numerous individual point-to-point integrations that were managed manually. These siloed connections were time-consuming to manage, slowed down operations, and hindered Norths Collective’s ability to clearly understand customer behavior. The absence of centralization also caused unnecessary delays in day-to-day operations and time-to-market for new services.

How Boomi Helped

Norths Collective implemented Boomi’s integration platform as a service (iPaaS) to integrate Salesforce with a wide range of applications, including hospitality, fitness, ticketing, point of sale, membership programs, and a new mobile app. This centralized integration eliminated data silos, streamlining business operations and member engagement.

Norths Collective also integrated Tableau as part of its business analytics strategy. The company plans to integrate additional systems, such as HR, finance, supplier systems, ERM, telephony, and social media, in the future.

Results

Norths Collective experienced a 10% increase in click-throughs after personalizing emails to members. The Boomi-connected environment facilitated the creation of an Ethical Personalization Policy for the community, which explains how customer and member data is used.

Boomi also accelerated amalgamation activity, enabling rapid onboarding of new facilities and providing new members quick access to benefits via the app. Future plans include using Boomi to allow venue managers to visualize staffing with live transactions, and integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay for seamless payments.
