Last month, we launched Boomi Agentstudio in the UK, Japan, Australia, and the United States (with additional regions planned), giving enterprises the flexibility to deploy agents wherever their business operates. Today, we’ve taken that further with Agentstudio APIs. These are a full suite of capabilities that lets you build, manage, and invoke agents from anywhere in your stack.
Running agents in pilots versus deploying them in production are two different problems entirely. In fact, as we’re seeing more organizations mature in their AI journey, we’re also seeing more enterprise AI deployments stall. While the AI holds up, the infrastructure required for scaled enterprise success does not. This is where Boomi shines. The Boomi Enterprise Platform and Boomi Agentstudio give organizations the connectivity, context, and control that is required to push AI into production.
Build and Use Agents From Wherever Your Team Works
Our new suite of Agentstudio APIs comprises Management and Lifecycle APIs and Execution APIs.
For IT and platform teams, Management and Lifecycle APIs let developers build and operate agents in code, such as creating agents, deploying packages, configuring tools, updating guardrails, and more. These APIs include full support for MCP servers, where teams can auto-discover, register, and manage MCP server tools at scale, without manual configuration inside the Boomi platform.
For example, a global manufacturer enforces consistent AI behavior across 12 regional procurement teams. Instead of letting each region build its own ad-hoc agent, the IT team can use Agentstudio design APIs to centrally define agent goals, task instructions, and guardrails, then deploys the agents to region-specific instances. When something changes, such as a new code of conduct requirement, one update flows out to all deployed agents rather than requiring 12 separate manual edits.
For end users and teams building experiences for them, the most useful agent is the one that shows up where your team is already working. Execution APIs enable authorized external systems to invoke an agent securely, for example from a Slack workflow, a CRM automation, a custom internal application, or even a third-party integration. Trigger a Boomi agent directly from any external platform or application, meaning your team doesn’t need to build inside Boomi first or navigate to a separate interface in order to invoke it.
Once an agent is exposed via API, any authorized system can call it, and teams can invoke agents using the credentials that they already have. Such as embedding an agent in your organization’s internal custom portal for employees to engage with. Agents that require users to context switch see significantly lower adoption than agents embedded in the tools people use every day.
Deploy Agents Wherever Your Organization Operates
Data residency requirements, cross-border liability, and latency are some of the top factors likely to stall a deployment. Agentstudio multi-region instances help address all three simultaneously.
With designated regional clouds, your agents run in the location your organization requires. For example, this distinction is important for teams operating under GDPR with strict regional data sovereignty policies or internal governance requirements, dictating where sensitive data can and cannot be processed. Agents can now process data within a specific regional cloud, clearly visible for legal, security, and governance teams to see exactly where AI workloads are executing.
Latency compounds in agentic workflows. When agents are reasoning, calling tools, and returning results in real time, the distance between the runtime and the data is consequential. Localized regional instances reduce execution latency, a critical component for agents embedded in mission-critical business processes where a slow response is as bad as a hallucinated one.
Multi-region instances also mean you can run multiple agent deployments across different regional clouds simultaneously, with versioning support that lets you manage updates across regions without disrupting wider deployments.
Any Agent, Anywhere
Together, these two features answer the where and the how. Your agents run in the geographies your compliance, performance, and governance requirements demand, and your existing tools, workflows, and development pipelines can reach those agents directly. Your favorite Boomi agents can now be used where your team works, deployed wherever your organization operates.

How It All Works
What is Boomi Agentstudio?
Boomi Agentstudio is the full agent lifecycle management solution that empowers organizations to simply build, govern, and orchestrate all AI agents at scale. Providing the governance, security, and infrastructure that enterprise AI deployments require, and built on Boomi’s heritage in integration and connectivity.
What are Boomi Agentstudio Multi-region Instances?
Boomi Agentstudio is now available in the UK, Japan, Australia, and the United States, with additional regions planned. Multi-region instances allow organizations to run Agentstudio agents in localized regional runtimes, keeping data and execution within defined geographic boundaries, improving performance, and satisfying regional compliance requirements. Teams can package specific agent versions and deploy them to designated regions independently.
How do Boomi Agentstudio APIs work?
Agentstudio APIs comprises Management and Lifecycle APIs and Execution APIs. Management and Lifecycle APIs let developers create, configure, deploy, and update agents entirely through code. This includes full support for MCP server management and auto-discovery. Execution APIs expose deployed agents as callable endpoints, so any authorized external application can invoke an agent and stream its responses using standard credentials. See Agentstudio APIs technical documentation.
Can I invoke a Boomi agent from a third-party application?
Yes. Agentstudio APIs are designed for this use case as well. Once an agent is configured and deployed in Agentstudio, it can be called from any authorized external system including CRMs, custom applications, and third-party integrations.
What is MCP and does Boomi Agentstudio support it?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an emerging industry standard for connecting AI agents to the tools, systems, and data sources they need to act on. Agentstudio APIs include full programmatic support for MCP servers, allowing teams to auto-discover, register, and manage MCP server tools at scale without manually configuring them inside the Boomi platform.
