Rachel Jiminez: I was inspired to join the military following in the footsteps of both my grandfathers as well as my older brother who joined. And while I served, I met my husband who is currently serving still and has been for almost 22 years.

Rob Evans: You went through the Veterans Academy at the Boomi, correct?

Rachel Jiminez: That is correct, I did.

Rob Evans: Can you tell me a little bit about that experience and what that was like?

Rachel Jiminez: You work with people who support you and push you outside of your comfort zone. And what I came to find out is I had a passion for the other veterans I worked with and supporting veterans and spouses. And though working at Boomi is nothing similar to what I did in the military, I still have these people that I can trust that support me to my left and my right.

Rob Evans: I understand you’re raising three boys, as well. How do you how do you balance all that?

Rachel Jiminez: Balancing work and life as a mother and life as a wife is trying to find the good things and the silver lining in the day to day and be there and be present and supportive of my boys and show them the opportunities that I have been given and taken, which really helps them to see there’s many, many doors open that they just have to step out and find those opportunities and take them.
