Similarly, impressive transformation stories take place in many industries, like healthcare for instance. By partnering with Boomi, Easterseals Bay Area (ESBA) pioneered a model for building the digital infrastructure to support highly efficient, scalable, flexible, and, most importantly, effective healthcare networks.
Making a Difference
A California affiliate of Chicago-based Easterseals used Boomi to tie together and orchestrate the exchange of data among a group of cloud applications and enterprise information systems. The result: a state-of-the-art digital healthcare information system and a behavioral health provider network that’s now managing 7,000 practitioners and $180 million in billings.
Transformation at Speed and Scale
Most remarkably, ESBA did this practically overnight, transforming from a traditional charity relying on donations and grants to running one of the largest behavioral healthcare networks in the country.
The project included the formation of a new electronic healthcare records and revenue cycle management system from AthenaHealth. In addition, ESBA built various mobile and web-based applications based on Salesforce Health Cloud for managing the complete care cycle. The organization also deployed various NetSuite modules to handle its back-office financial information and to manage appointment scheduling.
Boomi greatly streamlined and simplified the complexity of this effort by easily connecting and orchestrating the data from the network’s various applications — at scale, providing ESBA the visibility, control and automation necessary for managing all clinical and business operations data.
