Anna Meares OAM is considered by many to be Australia’s most accomplished cyclist and one of our greatest athletes of all time.

During her 15-year career as an elite athlete, Anna collected an incredible 18 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals at Olympic, World, and Commonwealth Games level across the 500m Time Trial, Keirin, Sprint, and Team Sprint events. Her career was one of many highs, lows, determination, grit, hard- work, and dedication.

In January 2008, a mere seven months before her second Olympic campaign for the Beijing Games, Anna broke her neck at the Los Angeles World Cup. It was possible she may never ride again. However, against all odds, Anna returned to the bike and won the silver medal in the Women’s Individual Sprint; it would be the only Olympic medal won by any Australian Cyclist in any cycling discipline in Beijing.

The 2012 London Olympics saw Anna’s great rivalry with Great British cyclist Victoria Pendleton come to a head, with Anna and her coach Gary West utilizing data to take the Gold in the Sprint in an epic showdown.

At Rio in 2016, Anna was named Australia’s flag bearer and team captain. At the same Games, she made Olympic history by being the first Australian athlete from any sport to have ever won individual medals at four consecutive Olympic Games.

After 22 years involved in the sport, Anna retired as the most decorated female athlete in the world with 11 world titles. Of her 41 career medals, she achieved 26 following her near-career ending injury.

In 2018, while Anna was settling into post-professional life and training as a foster career, she was inducted into the SA and QLD Sport Halls of Fame for her sporting achievements. She was awarded “legend” status in the SA Sport Hall of Fame in 2021 (the youngest ever to achieve this accolade) and was inducted into Sport Australia Hall of Fame.

Anna was a key team member of the commentating team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with Channel 7.

Anna was the General Manger for the Australian Commonwealth Games team in Birmingham 2022.

Anna was appointed Chef de Mission of the Australian Olympic Team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, leading the team to their most successful Olympics ever. In November 2024, it was announced Anna would continue her role as Chef de Mission of the Australian Olympic Team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

With over 25 years of experience building software platforms and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions powered by AI/ML, APIs, data and microservices, Thomas leads the Global Software Engineering and Cloud operations teams at Boomi, responsible for delivering AI-powered intelligent iPaaS solutions to customers.

Most recently, Thomas served as EVP and CTO at NI, where he was responsible for transforming the test and measurement industry with generative AI and data. Before joining NI, he was CTO and SVP of Engineering at SAP Ariba. He has also served in CTO and VP roles at General Electric and Emirates Group, and technology leadership roles at Visa, Walmart, and Oracle.

Thomas holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from The College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, India. He also holds patents to help use Blockchain to track the provenance of supply chains.

David Irecki is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia Pacific / Japan (APJ) at Boomi, a category-leading, global software as a service (SaaS) company with more than 20,000 global customers and a worldwide network of 800 partners.

As CTO, David leads the region’s efforts in advocating and evangelizing the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in business with intelligent integration and automation. He is instrumental in helping organizations across the APJ region thrive in the digital age and on their AI journeys.

David is an IT veteran with over 20 years of experience in the enterprise integration and embedded computing markets. David joined Boomi in June 2015 as the first Solutions Consultant in APJ. Prior to Boomi, David worked for MuleSoft, where he led the APJ Solutions Consulting team.

David is a graduate of New Zealand’s Massey University, majoring in Information Engineering.

Jaime Ryan is the Global Vice President of Product Management, leading Boomi’s API Management strategy and delivering the next generation of API federation and governance. He brings over 25 years of experience owning industry-leading portfolios, and resides in San Diego, California.

Mike Bachman, affectionately dubbed “Bachman” by peers, is Head of Research, Architecture, and AI Strategy for the Boomi Innovation Group. With over two decades of expertise, he has assisted executives and their teams in overcoming complex obstacles through innovative tech solutions. Bachman’s background encompasses AI R&D, data pipeline development, infrastructure planning, application integration, performance analysis, and the exploration of nascent technologies. Currently, he delves into pioneering and groundbreaking innovations, applying them to diverse use cases and patterns, ultimately crafting inventive problem-solving approaches. Bachman’s goals extend to aiding businesses in leveraging cutting-edge advancements for addressing social and environmental concerns. Taylor has a deep understanding of the data industry and a passion for solving complex problems. Using her experience as a data consultant she drives innovation and growth and works closely with the sales and product teams to ensure that the data integration offerings are designed to meet the evolving needs of the market and are delivered with the highest level of quality.

Chris Hallenbeck is General Manager of AI and Platform at Boomi, overseeing AI product vision, execution, and GTM strategy and helping lead Boomi’s creation of a unified platform for business automation via AI. Prior to joining Boomi, he advised CIOs and CTOs on AI adoption and digital transformation at McKinsey. Known for his deep technical acumen and for building high-performance organizations focused on enterprise customer success, he has more than 25 years of enterprise software and cloud product and GTM experience.

Dan brings over 25 years of demonstrated success developing and executing partnership strategies that drive ecosystem growth and revenue. He is responsible for leading Boomi’s global channel and alliance programs, which include identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships to help drive sales, expand the company’s reach, and grow its business through win-win relationships with the partner community.

Prior to Boomi, Dan led global teams and achieved industry-leading growth at Salesforce, MuleSoft, Box, NetSuite, Crystal Decisions, and SAP.

Jim Fisher is the Vice President of Channels & Partners, APJ, at Boomi, a category-leading, global software as a service (SaaS) company with the largest customer base among integration platform vendors.

Jim has over 35 years experience in the worldwide software marketplace and will be instrumental in building a channel and partner team with Boomi.

Fisher has previously led Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Marketing and Sales Operations in Australia, the United States and across Asia Pacific. This included regional and global management roles in Philadelphia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, China, Russia and Australia.

Prior to joining Boomi, Fisher spent 5 years at MuleSoft as the Vice President of Alliances and Channels, 5 years at SAP as the VP Ecosystem and Channels – SEA and then COO ANZ at SAP and 12 years at CA in numerous roles – COO, VP Marketing APJ, VP Channels and VP GCR and SEA and previously served as Vice President Asia Pacific for Sterling Software and Managing Director for Information Advantage – Australia.
