We’re thrilled to announce Boomi’s acquisition of Rivery, an innovation leader in modern data integration that helps customers move large volumes of data for analytics and AI use cases using ELT, ETL, and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes. This acquisition further expands the data management capabilities of the Boomi Enterprise Platform, and gives Boomi customers a familiar, modern approach — cloud-native, low-code, and AI-powered — for discovering, integrating, managing, and moving data in all kinds of environments, including on-premises, public cloud, private cloud, multicloud, and hybrid.
The Rivery platform, designed for building modern data pipelines through ETL and ELT, is known for its unique CDC capabilities. The platform offers unrivaled simplicity thanks to its embedded AI engine, growing library of integration templates, and support for both low-code and custom code development. In a single, modern, comprehensive cloud-native solution, Rivery provides a breadth of data integration capabilities, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reverse ETL. This fast, flexible solution is also more affordable than legacy data integration offerings and even than many SaaS data integration platforms.
Rivery’s modern approach pays off in speed and efficiency. One customer found that using Rivery accelerated time to value on data integration projects by 7.5X.
The ability to move large volumes of data quickly and efficiently is more critical than ever before. Nearly two thirds of companies today have at least a petabyte (a thousand terabytes) of data, and 41% of enterprises have 500 petabytes or more. This data is everywhere: in databases, legacy applications, cloud applications, and third-party services. That data is key to everything from building new generative AI applications and AI agents to mining insights about customers and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Rivery makes it easy for customers to move high volumes of data to wherever it’s needed, including data warehouses and data lakes like the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. Once there, data can be used for business intelligence (BI) and other analytics and for powering AI applications and data pipelines. Transformed data can also be sent back to business applications through reverse ETL, improving data quality across the enterprise.
By acquiring Rivery, Boomi is expanding the data management capabilities of the Boomi Enterprise Platform. The Boomi platform already features Boomi DataHub, which offers data synchronization and master data management across data sources. Leading companies are using DataHub today to establish a source of truth for all their applications, ensuring that data across the enterprise is timely, accurate, and complete.
With the addition of Rivery to Boomi’s existing capabilities, we will offer Boomi customers a single, cohesive, low-code platform for application integration, data integration, API management, workflow automation, and AI orchestration. We’re bringing simplicity, power, and scalability to many of the most strategic areas of IT today.
There’s another important aspect to this news about Rivery, and that’s people. Rivery CEO Itamar Ben Hemo and his cofounders have built a smart, dynamic team who view IT challenges and solutions the same way we do at Boomi. They’re passionate about using modern, cloud-native technology to solve daunting problems in enterprise IT, and they’re out front in the market for the way they’re combining AI and data pipelines to accelerate and streamline operations. Like Boomi, they’re committed to strong partnerships — Rivery is a Snowflake Premier Technology Partner and a partner of AWS as well — and they’re determined to deliver exceptional customer experiences using low-code/no-code interfaces, so that customers can build data integration and data movement projects more easily than ever before.
This acquisition follows our acquisitions of APIIDA’s API Control Plane business and Cloud Software Group’s Mashery business earlier this year, which strengthened and broadened the Boomi platform’s API capabilities. Now, by acquiring Rivery, we’re ready to offer customers a fast, efficient, and agile solution for ETL, reverse ETL, and CDC. If businesses have been struggling with old, costly, legacy approaches to these problems, they can now step into the modern era and take advantage of an innovative, cloud-native approach to moving every company’s most valuable asset — its data.
I’m so excited to welcome the Rivery team to Boomi. I can’t wait to work with our new colleagues and the rest of our Boomi team to bring Rivery’s exciting data movement solutions to customers.
