As you incorporate Amazon Web Services (AWS) into your cloud-first strategy, connectivity becomes an important consideration. It’s vital to ensure these new cloud services — which may include storage, database, analytics, messaging, compute, and machine learning services — are seamlessly integrated with existing and new business processes and applications, both on-premises and SaaS.

Boomi specializes in connecting applications and services into existing and new business processes to support cloud-first and digital transformation strategies. To help businesses jump-start their hybrid AWS cloud/SaaS/on-premises projects, we have released 32 new AWS connectors for Early Access availability.

New Boomi AWS connectors for faster connectivity of AWS with your business processes

There are many use cases for connecting AWS services into enterprise business processes. Here are some of the most common categories:

Boomi AWS Data Storage Connectors

Expand your storage options by connecting AWS storage services into your enterprise business processes. Connect AWS cloud services such as Amazon Glacier for long-term low-cost durable storage, object storage with the generally available Boomi Amazon S3 REST connector, and the Boomi Amazon Elastic File System storage connector to expand your connectivity options for file-based content stored in the AWS cloud.

You can leverage the Amazon database options for relational database access with the Boomi Amazon RDS and Boomi Amazon Redshift Data Service connectors and key-value database access for high volume web traffic with the Boomi Amazon DynamoDB connector.

Boomi AWS Machine Learning Connectors

Detect sudden changes to your business processes faster with Boomi Amazon machine learning connectors. Potential fraud, unusual access to internal systems, or a sudden dip in revenue that requires immediate attention and more can now be detected from within your existing and new business processes for rapid resolution before they become a burden to the businesses.

The Boomi connector for Amazon Lookout for Metrics uses machine learning to automatically detect and diagnose anomalies (i.e. outliers from the norm) in business and operational data. Likewise, the Boomi connector for Amazon Lookout for Vision spots product defects using computer vision to automate quality inspection. Or leverage the Boomi Amazon Rekognition computer vision service for facial analysis and object and text detection.

If you are ready to expand machine learning outside the realm of the data science department and into your business processes, deploy the Boomi connector for Amazon SageMaker, used to build, train, and deploy machine learning (ML) models. Boomi connectors for SageMaker Edge Manager and SageMaker Feature Store Runtime are available now at the Early Access site shown below.

Additional capabilities to further expand your access into machine learning include the Boomi connector for Amazon Polly, which turns text into lifelike speech, allowing you to create applications that talk, and build entirely new categories of speech-enabled products. Or go the opposite direction and exchange data using the Boomi connector for Amazon Transcribe, which converts speech into text. Next convert the text into other languages using Amazon Translate and use the Boomi connector for Amazon Translate to pull this data into or out of your business processes.

Boomi AWS Security, Identity, Compliance, Networking, and Management Connectors

Explore a wide variety of Boomi connectors such as the Boomi Amazon CloudWatch connector to enable your Boomi enterprise business processes to gain insight into your AWS applications, respond to system-wide performance changes, and optimize your use of AWS services in parallel with your non-AWS applications.

Provide identity management as driven by Amazon with the Boomi Amazon Cognito connector for secure and seamless access management in collaboration with your existing identity solutions or processes that rely on identity management.

Additional cloud infrastructure Boomi connectors have been added for Amazon Route 53 as a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service, and Amazon Inspector for cloud vulnerability management.

Boomi AWS Messaging, Compute, and Workforce Connectors

The Amazon SNS connector makes it easy to work with the Amazon Simple Notification Service, which uses AWS Identity and Access Management to authenticate users to Amazon. The Boomi Amazon SQS connector lets you leverage Amazon’s fully managed messaging queuing for microservices, distributed systems, and serverless applications. And, you can also connect to Amazon Lambda serverless computing or tap into some innovative Amazon Mechanical Turk for on-demand workforce scenarios.

These new Boomi connectors for Amazon Web Services complement Boomi’s extensive, existing collection of connectors for leading applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, and many more.
