In recent blog posts, we outlined how software vendors can meet rising customer demand for fast, agile integration by partnering with an integration vendor. And we addressed key technology characteristics that independent software vendors (ISVs) should look for in an integration partner.
But integration technology is only part of the equation. Another critical consideration for application providers is the experience, scope and track record of an integration vendor’s partner program.

So far, we’ve published three posts on the scope, challenges and data obligations of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our most recent post focused on how Dell Boomi can help organizations address three of the six high-risk obligations identified by Dell Technologies that are imposed by the GDPR: record keeping, accountability and data retention.
But good “data hygiene” is critical to routine business activities beyond the GDPR.

In pursuit of the omnichannel shopping Holy Grail, retailers often focus on the front-end customer experience with slick ecommerce websites, mobile apps, digital marketing and interactive brick-and-mortar store experiences.
Yet the front end is only part of the equation for retail success. As the Dell Boomi retail team confirmed at NetSuite’s SuiteWorld conference in Las Vegas last month, top retailers pay equal attention to back-end processes, from business-to-business (B2B) transactions to supply chain management.

When healthcare professionals talk about the benefits of a 360-degree view of the patient — or Patient360 — the discussion often ignores the complexities involved in pulling that off. Patient360 demands that organizations convert systems of record into systems of engagement. Or rather, it is about making it possible for new, modern systems of engagement to easily draw data from existing systems of record.
That, in turn, requires a platform that allows all the players in the healthcare lifecycle, which include payers, providers, third-party services used by either, and patients to exchange data securely with a minimum of friction.

Retailers running Oracle NetSuite have a sound enterprise resource planning (ERP) foundation for financial, inventory and order management. NetSuite also provides ecommerce, point-of-sale (POS) and customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities, but many retailers elect to use best-of-breed software for those functions. Often, third-party marketing automation software will also be in place.
That introduces challenges in how merchants can meet rising customer expectations for a seamless omnichannel experience. Integration that connects NetSuite with disparate systems is mandatory for retailers to gain a unified 360-degree customer view and deliver personalized engagement across all channels.

In a recent blog post, we talked about how organizations increasingly look for ease of integration when selecting software applications. They want to speed return on investment by quickly connecting new applications across their hybrid, best-of-breed IT environments.
That poses a challenge for independent software vendors (ISVs). To address it, some software companies invest in an in-house integration team to custom-code connectivity, but that means high cost and time-consuming manual work.
