MOD Pizza, a pioneer of super-fast, artisan-style pizza and salads has been on a major growth spurt the past four years, expanding to more than 450 stores in the US and Canada. But, for its managers, this growth brought challenges, such as a fast-growing numbers of employees – known as the MOD Squad – to bring on board, customers to delight, and locations to open.

For managers to provide a great employee onboarding experience, the business needed to modernize its technology systems.

IT implemented new systems, including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SuccessFactors, Restaurant Magic Data Central for store management, and Beekeeper for employee engagement. But multiple teams across the business had to manually add new employee data into disparate systems, which significantly slowed onboarding.

Because MOD Pizza is a 100 percent SaaS-based business, it needed to implement a modern, cloud-native integration platform that would manage integrations for people and other data sources as well as integrate its  disparate systems.

Boomi provided MOD Pizza with a continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) capability, as well as a secure, scalable, and simple platform for getting data where it needed to be to provide insights from both back-office and customer-facing systems. And with Boomi, MOD Pizza can now manage data while keeping the IT team lean.
