The world’s leader in stone wool solutions for sustainable building products slashed integration timelines from months to weeks with the Boomi Enterprise Platform.
Geschäftliche Ziele
Making the world a better place isn’t easy. The ROCKWOOL Group is committed to partnering with the local communities in the 39 countries where it sells its stone wool products. The result is a complex ecosystem of partners, vendors, and customers – all needing easy access to timely information. The business wanted a way to connect everyone to what they need and deliver high-quality products on time.
Herausforderungen bei der Integration
Before 2019, ROCKWOOL relied on a third-party vendor to create unique integrations for every vendor and partner. As the volume of EDI messages exchanged daily grew, this became progressively slower and more expensive.
Each new partner integration typically took two to three months to implement. Even small changes would require more wait time. ROCKWOOL felt it didn’t have firm control over partner interactions to be able to move at the speed required by its lines of business.
Wie Boomi geholfen hat
The Boomi Enterprise Platform, which includes Boomi B2B/EDI Management as well as traditional integration capabilities, provided a fast learning curve and ease of use that ROCKWOOL needed to transform the speed of its partner ecosystem.
Boomi connects ROCKWOOL’s core SAP ERP system directly with the customers and vendors who need access to its data. Boomi also pulls essential data from other systems, including a Warehouse Management System, when needed. This ensures that information flows are fast and accurate – delivering greater visibility and building trust.
Ergebnisse
With Boomi in place, ROCKWOOL’s internal team can now readily manage integrations for approximately 180 trading partners, with a much shorter turnaround time. ROCKWOOL’s team of three developers can manage all of its integrations in-house, with a typical deployment time of just two to three weeks, compared to two to three months.
ROCKWOOL’s lines of business now have confidence that the company can quickly pivot and grow to meet changing market needs.
Boomi leverages Amazon EC2 to ensure our design, development, and management platform is highly available. This allows our customers to build, manage and monitor their solutions reliably, from any web browser.
