Founded in 1990, CCL has grown into an award-winning provider of IT infrastructure and managed services for many of New Zealand’s most recognized businesses. CCL now helps more than 500 clients improve their business efficiencies and agility through its technology consulting and technical services.

CCL used point-to-point SQL scripts to get invoice and purchase order data from an Autotask IT service management application to its Microsoft Dynamics GP financials system.

But the integration required time-consuming monthly maintenance and troubleshooting by a specialist whose skills were also needed in other areas of the business — plus, the SQL scripts were struggling to keep up with the amount of data CCL now needed to process.

When CCL identified opportunities for internal improvement — in particular, integrating mission-critical data between core business systems — it turned to Boomi to replace its integration framework.

CCL selected Boomi based on the platform’s full set of features, its ability to handle complex integrations and its pricing efficiency. The company’s vetting process included assessments of a wide range of integration products.

Boomi’s low-code, cloud-native platform lets developers rapidly build complex integrations and delivers real-time monitoring, two things critical for CCL.

Since the integration went live in 2018, CCL has eliminated hours of manual maintenance and troubleshooting needed in its previous SQL scripts integration framework. The SQL specialist who oversaw that work is now able to focus on other areas of service improvement in the business.
