Taleo Selects Dell Boomi to Integrate Customer Data in World’s Largest Talent Management Cloud

  • Rapid growth prompts Taleo to deploy Dell Boomi AtomSphere to help bring customers online faster and to natively integrate data with enterprise applications
  • Taleo also continues to use Dell Boomi to integrate its own business processes

BERWYN, Pa. — Dell Boomi®, today announced that Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ: TLEO), the global leader of SaaS-based Talent Management solutions, has standardized on Dell Boomi AtomSphere® to quickly integrate data and applications within the world’s largest Talent Management cloud.

Taleo’s cloud serves more than 20 million live users and processes up to 68 million transactions a day, making Taleo the world’s second-largest software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution provider. With its customer base growing by 37 percent annually for solutions ranging from performance management and learning management to compensation and succession planning, Taleo partnered with Dell Boomi to ensure its customers always have access to the data and applications they rely on to know their people and grow their business.

Through its partnership with Dell Boomi and by using more than 500 connections to which Taleo owns the rights, Taleo can easily synchronize data across multiple applications on behalf of its customers. Dell Boomi and Taleo deployed AtomSphere to integrate data for customers of Taleo Business Edition, the company’s comprehensive Talent Management suite for SMBs, and Taleo Learn™, the leading employee development and training software solution. Dell Boomi also has helped Taleo remain internally agile by deploying AtomSphere to optimize Taleo’s own business processes.

Application integration is a top concern for SMB customers. Before partnering with Dell Boomi, Taleo Business Edition featured a basic open API solution that, while effective, could be improved using a common and efficient approach to application integration. In addition to its requirements for SMB customers, Taleo recently acquired Learn.com, a cloud-based learning management system (LMS), which had custom-coded integrations for its customers. Taleo realized that writing custom code for every new Taleo Learn customer integration was not a viable long-term solution.

Taleo chose Dell Boomi AtomSphere because of its simple integration, broad array of connectivity to SaaS and on-premises solutions, and ability to seamlessly handle upgrades and scale to meet the growing needs of customers. AtomSphere connects new applications to existing applications, regardless of the complexity of the data connections.

Taleo also chose Dell Boomi because of its flexible delivery model and is now deploying and administering a private integration cloud within its own data centers to handle platform scalability, high availability and load balancing, as well as to safeguard data to meet specific regulatory requirements. In addition to external deployments, Taleo uses Dell Boomi internally to migrate customers from acquired products like Vurv and Cytiva to Taleo Business Edition and Taleo Enterprise solutions, and to link its procurement system into its financial system so Taleo does not have to manually re-enter invoices.

“As partners, Dell Boomi and Taleo have worked collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes both for customers and within Taleo’s own fast-growing organization,” said Rick Nucci, General Manager, Dell Boomi. “Dell Boomi worked with Taleo to address its unique integration challenges with our unrivaled AtomSphere cloud integration product.”

Dell Boomi AtomSphere will be the standard for integration of Taleo Business Edition and Taleo Learn products with a variety of cloud computing and SaaS applications. This includes integrations to systems like Oracle, SAP, ADP, Ceridian, NetSuite, Workday, Lawson, salesforce.com, and Kronos.
