We’ve heard anecdotally from our customers about how they’ve used the Boomi integration cloud to unlock operational efficiencies, generate revenue streams and drive digital transformation.
By adopting Boomi’s low-code, cloud-native platform, our customers can much more quickly and easily connect data, applications and people. They tell us of dramatic cost savings, increased organizational speed and a broad mix of soft benefits.

So far in this “Integration 101” blog series, I’ve covered the basics of integration and tried to untangle some of the misunderstandings around APIs and web services — what they are and what they can and can’t do.

Boomi World 2018, held in Las Vegas from November 5-7, demonstrated the power behind Boomi’s vision: Your Journey – Our Platform – Unlimited Possibilities.
For many Boomi customers, the most pressing journey involves digital transformation. In an earlier blog post, I highlighted some of the top reasons why digital transformation (DX) projects can and will fail unless an organization has the right strategies in place for success.

In today’s competitive age of digital transformation, organizations have to move and respond rapidly. But companies can’t drive new business initiatives that grow revenues, reduce costs and mitigate risk without the ability to tailor IT infrastructure to match the needs of the business. Cloud makes this possible.
In Nov. 2017, analyst firm Forrester predicted that the global public cloud market would grow from $146 billion in 2017 to $178 billion in 2018, a compounded annual growth rate of 22% percent.

It’s true. The integration cloud is more important than ever. This was clear by all the conversations we had with hundreds of Salesforce customers, partners and employees at Dreamforce this past week.
Fundamentally, they wanted to know why we would be the best choice for supporting their Salesforce integration strategy.
We were happy to explain our pioneering leadership and the unique combined value of our platform. Unlike any other integration platform on the market, Boomi is a complete offering and provides five critical characteristics.

The continued shift to as-a-service business models in an increasingly globalized economy has generated a highly competitive world in which digital transformation (DX) efforts can and will fail without the right strategy.
While technology may be at the heart of every DX project, IT modernization is not a magic wand for digital transformation. The success of any project ultimately relies on a multitude of factors. One of the most important is buy-in from stakeholders, who must understand how the transformation will directly benefit them.

“If strategy had an arch enemy, it would be bad execution.” — Anonymous
The remains of great strategies litter the business world. And, as the business world reshapes itself around readily technologies social, mobile, big data analytics, the cloud, and the Internet of Things (IoT), digital strategies become mere rallying points.
But that’s ok according to Jeanne Ross, a principal research scientist at the MIT Sloan School of Management and director of the MIT Center for Information Systems Research.
